Several years ago, we visited a small cemetery in Macomb County, Michigan, that had been neglected. In this cemetery, we discovered eight Civil War veterans. We decided to research and document these veterans before all traces of them were lost. This project soon blossomed into researching Civil War veterans buried in other cemeteries within Macomb County. We have completed nine of fourteen townships and will continue to add information to this website as we complete additional townships in Macomb County. Hopefully, this information will prove helpful to other military researchers and genealogists, as well. | ![]() |
